The Nordic Walking group recently started and helps people with Parkinson's to walk in an upright position over longer distances. It assists with balance and is a fun, social activity. Eugene Futcher is a qualified Nordic Walking instructor with a good knowledge of the local area.

"I enjoy the company of the group and am incentivised to walk far further than I would do on my own. It's good exercise.
It forces me to stand more upright and walk in a more upright manner. After the walk, I carry on moving and walking more freely and in a more upright stance for some time. I feel it is doing me good, so it must be."
